The Ohio Arts Council's (OAC) Riffe Gallery presents Art Educators as Artists, an exhibition of works
created by members of the Ohio Art Education Association, November 1, 2018 - January 5, 2019.
The OAC's Riffe Gallery in collaboration with the Ohio Art Education Foundation presents a juried
exhibition showcasing 46 art educators as artists. Members of the Ohio Art Education Association
divisions of Elementary, Middle, Secondary, Higher Education, Museum, Supervision Policy and
Administration, and Emeritus were invited to participate. Exhibition jurors include Carol Stewart, Elsie
Sanchez, and Michael Seiler. Click here for a list of participating artists.

Saturday, November 3, 1- 4 p.m.
Meet the artists, jurors, and other art educators and enthusiasts. Live music by artist and educator Jim Ledford. The gallery will be open regular hours on November 1 and 2.
Downtown Art Sunday
Sunday, November 4, noon - 6 p.m.
This event brings together nine downtown art spaces for a day of art with special programming. The OAC Riffe Gallery will offer a hands-on art activity with artist and emeritus educator Kurt Reichert from 1-3 p.m.
Creative Writing Workshop
Thursday, November 29, 5:30 - 8 p.m.
Inspired by the 68 artworks in the gallery, celebrate your individual creative process through writing about your surroundings, guided by lifelong arts educator Mimi Chenfeld. Space is limited, register at riffegallery.org.
No reservations necessary; however, space is limited to 15 for each drop-in workshop. Materials supplied.

So, you think you can't draw? Learn how with artist Susan Washam Witten.
Friends & Family Workshop
Saturday, December 1, 1- 3 p.m.
Create unconventional family portraits using inanimate objects that define who we are as individuals with National Teacher of the Year finalist and 2018 Ohio Teacher of the Year Jonathan Juravich. Space is limited, register at riffegallery.org.
