Administers and enforces 30 different state and local taxes and fees, including the state and school district individual income taxes, state and local sales taxes, and an array of business and excise taxes.

The Ohio Department of Taxation (ODT) is headquartered in Columbus, and has more than 200 telecommuters located throughout the state. It oversees the Ad Valorem appraisals in Ohio's 88 counties and produces farm land values and tax rates for all local property taxes each year.

Collections from taxes and fees administered by ODT generate nearly $30 billion annually to support many functions of state and local government, including education, health care, transportation, and law enforcement.
