Developmental Disabilities
Offering support across the lifespan of people with developmental disabilities, the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities or DODD, oversees a statewide system of supportive services that focus on ensuring health and safety, supporting access to community participation, and increasing opportunities for meaningful employment.
The department provides administration for Medicaid programs and services to Ohio's county boards of developmental disabilities, including Ohio's Developmental Disabilities waiver programs that enable people to live in their community and access the services they need wherever they choose to live, work and spend their day.
